Somatic Symptom Disorder in DSM-5

NEW PRESENTATION added to the Publication page… Somatic Symptom Disorder in DSM-5

I recently presented a paper Somatic Symptom Disorders in DSM-5: A step forward or a fall back? Presented at the Alberta Psychiatric Association March, 2013 (Banff, Alberta) about the newly proposed category in the DSM-5 called Somatic Symptom Disorder.

I have posted the slides from my PowerPoint presentation in the “Invited Addresses” section of my Publications page (scroll about 2/3 of the way down, it’s the first item in this category).

A big thank you to Suzy Chapman, a patient advocate from the UK, who provided me with many of the papers and background information I needed for this paper. Click on the link to view.

By posting this presentation I am giving permission to use or quote the slides for other presentations. If you do so, please quote accurately and acknowledge the source.
